More rockers turned out last night

There was another Grand Cities Rock Band Tour event last night at Joe Black’s, and once again, my team was able to continue its winning streak. I was glad to see a much higher turnout than a few weeks ago though – this time, there were actually teams waiting in line to play. And it seemed like a lot of newbie Rock Band players showed up and they looked like they were having a good time, so that was cool.

Our team received a bounty of gift certificates for winning. There was supposed to be a tournament with the top three bands at the end of the night… but, by the time it started, we were the last band standing (so we won by default more or less). I’d like to have some more competition next time.

Here’s the next few dates for Rock Band:

  • Thursday, Oct. 15, 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Long Haul Saloon.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 21, 9 p.m. to midnight, Muddy Rivers Bar.
  • Friday, Nov. 6, 9 p.m. to midnight, Southgate Bar & Grill.
  • Thursday, Nov. 12, 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Long Haul Saloon.

Remember, it’s free to compete, and I’d love to see some more Rock Band experts show up to give my band some competition. It’s fun, something to do that doesn’t cost any money and you have a good chance of winning some prizes from it all. How often can you make money from playing videogames?
